Founded in 1967, Starkey Hearing Technologies based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, is the only American-owned major hearing aid manufacturer in the world and the largest in the USA with sales of more than a million hearing aids annually.
Starkey Laboratories changed its name to Starkey Hearing Technologies in 2012 and in that same year hosted the first Hearing Innovation Exposition in Las Vegas attended by more than 3,000 hearing care professionals. Former President Bill Clinton was the keynote speaker. At the second Hearing Innovation Exposition in 2014, both Bill Clinton and George W Bush were keynote speakers.
In 2014, Starkey introduced Halo, a hearing aid for the iPhone, and the TruLink application for direct connection between hearing aids and the Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices to stream phone message, musical, and video content directly into the hearing aids with high-fidelity sound.
Founded and still based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Starkey Hearing Technologies takes pride in the American heritage. Built with American ingenuity, Starkey hearing aids are strong and last a lifetime. Thousands of dedicated people work hard every day to produce them to help their neighbours hear their very best. Starkey knows best the art and science of hearing. This knowledge combined with the Starkey customised approach achieves complete patient satisfaction and success.
